Kitchen Remodel Galley Style, House was built in 1938 in East Kessler Park Dallas, TX. I believe the Kitchen had a remodel about 15 years ago. Here are the before and after pictures. I was able to remodel everything myself except the Kitchen countertop. I demo the back wall "hallway" where the flat top gas range is now, there was a build in cabinet that was never used. This gave me another 1 foot of aditional space along this wall in the kitchen. I also removed the existing door that lead into this hallway which created the galley style kitchen. I took the 2 Base cabinets for the sink & stove and pulled them off the wall approx. 3" with gave the kitchen a whole different look due to the normal galley style effect. Total cost was 15K. That includes new fridge, new five burner gas stove top, new glass vent a hood and dishwasher. The Countertop is made of Corain "rain cloud" new mix that gives the look of white marble with grey streaks. The backsplash is a custom design of glass mosaic and stainless steel tiles from a glass tile artist in up-state New York. The new cabinets are cherry with a chocolate glaze finsh. The floor is a multi-color slate "Earth Tone Colors, no Orange" on a diagonal pattern. The white upper cabinets are original to the Kitchen. I just had the glass frosted and changed the hardware., Kitchens Design
